Nocturnal Rainbow is photograph of an artificial rainbow in the
night time. A kinetic sweeping mechanism fitted with a stick of coloured
beads is captured under bright light and long exposure, painting out a full
multicolored arc.
A rainbow against the dark sky – so elusive – aptly captures the oddities of
this Covid-19 pandemic while uplifting Singaporeans through a mesage of
hope, that the bad times will one day be over.
Commissioned by The National Arts Council (NAC) for the ‘Streets of Hope’ project (2020), featured on Nicoll Highway, Singapore.
